New Code is open. The spec, compiler, REPL, and tooling are all in active development — and every working system benefits from more builders. If you want to contribute, challenge design decisions, or discuss implementation, reach out.
The right way to reach us.
Whether you're experimenting with the language, building something on top of it, or just want to challenge the design decisions — we'd like to hear from you.
The compiler, REPL, LSP server, and VS Code extension are all open problems. If you want to implement a primitive, propose an operator, port the runtime to a new target, or improve the tooling — there is room. Email is the right place to start.
About New Code
New Code is a working specification for a machine-native programming language designed for human–AI collaboration. It is not a finished product — it is an argument. An argument that the interface between human intent and machine execution needs to be redesigned from the ground up, using primitives that reflect how AI systems actually reason.
The language is built on two theoretical foundations developed in parallel work: Waveform Logic (which replaces scalar numbers with oscillatory structures) and Processism (which treats stasis as incoherent and process as fundamental). Both of these are also in active development.
